Welcome to INTERACT (Interprofessional Interaction with Children and Youth)
The project is part of a big initiative at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University. The aim is to meet society’s demands for a better coordination of services in relation to children and young people, better interaction between professionals and better cooperation between children/young people and professionals. OsloMet wants to use the opportunities that a wide range of study programmes provide to give students experience of interprofessional cooperation already from the first year of their study programme, and then annually for three years in total. Through INTERACT, they will receive knowledge and experience of cooperating with participants from other professions and with children, young people and their families.
There are programmes of professional study at OsloMet that are first and foremost directed towards working with children, young people and their families. We also offer a range of study programmes in which children and young people are the target groups. OsloMet is therefore in a unique situation that enables us to meet children and young people’s need for better cooperation with professionals in kindergartens/schools and the health and welfare services, as well as their need for improved cooperation between the services and professionals that the individual child encounters growing up.
